First Aid Course

On May 16 and 17, a certified First Aid and BLS-D course will take place in Pollica.

The course is divided into two parts:

Tuesday, May 16: online theoretical lesson, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, May 17: in-person practical lesson at the Castello dei Principi Capano, from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

This course will provide you with potentially life-saving skills that can be useful both in emergencies and in everyday life.

During the First Aid course, you will learn the procedures, techniques and actions to be carried out by a trained and appointed worker when dealing with a medical emergency, in order to provide immediate assistance and emergency care to an injured person while waiting for medical personnel to arrive.

During the BLS-D course, you will learn:

  • the basic resuscitation sequence for adults experiencing respiratory and/or cardiac arrest;
  • the correct procedures to follow in the event of airway obstruction caused by a foreign body in infants, children and adults;
  • the knowledge and practical skills required to use a semi-automatic external defibrillator.

If you are a young member of the Pollica Youth Forum, you can participate free of charge.
