The Paideia Method

Education, community and innovation work together to turn knowledge, relationships and experimentation into territorial regeneration.

Connecting knowledge, people and action

Paideia works by connecting learning, collective participation and experimentation. People develop knowledge and capabilities, communities become active participants in change, and innovation allows ideas to be tested in real contexts.

Learning through experience

Education connects generations and different forms of knowledge through shared learning. At Paideia, knowledge is explored and enriched through dialogue, experience and relationships, creating a continuous exchange between older and younger generations.

This intergenerational transmission keeps knowledge alive while allowing it to evolve. By learning together, people develop new capabilities, strengthen their connection to their communities and discover new ways to contribute to their transformation.

Education becomes a space where experience and ideas are shared, supporting individual growth and the long-term vitality of the territories in which people live and work.

Regeneration is a collective process

Regeneration is a collective process based on listening, collaboration and shared responsibility. Paideia brings people, organisations and institutions together to address common questions and local challenges through dialogue and participation.

Different perspectives and forms of knowledge contribute to a shared understanding of what a territory needs and what it can become. Communities are active participants in defining priorities and shaping solutions.

Through co-design and collaboration, Paideia strengthens relationships, builds trust and connects people, institutions and local resources, supporting more inclusive, relevant and lasting forms of change.

Testing ideas in real contexts

Innovation starts from real needs, places and the knowledge of the people who live in them. At Paideia, research, local experience, traditional knowledge, technology and design come together to develop ideas grounded in context.

Through collaboration, these ideas become prototypes, experiments and practical actions that can be tested, improved and adapted. This process helps understand what works and what needs to change.

Rather than applying a single model, Paideia supports flexible approaches shaped by each territory, turning experimentation into a way to learn collectively and create meaningful, adaptable solutions.

From learning to collective action

  1. Education
  2. Community
  3. Innovation
  4. Regeneration

Develops knowledge and capabilities

Connects people and activates collective intelligence

Turns knowledge and needs into experimentation

None of the three produces it alone.

How does learning happen at Paideia?

The educational dimension of the Paideia Method is rooted in a specific pedagogical approach that moves from experience to knowledge and from knowledge to responsibility.
